As a versatile advocate, Stephen maintains an extensive practice with a focus on contractual, commercial and property litigation as well as criminal investigation, trial and appeal.  He represents a wide range of clients from listed companies and government departments to individual citizens and non-governmental organizations, on privately and publicly funded bases and in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).  He serves as not only a Counsel at all Court levels, but also a pro bono lawyer, a seminar speaker, a columnist and interviewee, a moot and debate adjudicator, and a mock trial coach in the community.  

For over 10 years, Stephen has volunteered at the Clinical Legal Education Office of the University of Hong Kong, his alma mater, by assisting pro bono lawyers in conducting selected criminal appeals for convicted persons whose legal aid applications have been refused for lack of merits; providing tailor-made advice for the public on everyday legal issues in Hong Kong, including probate, trust, divorce, employment, water leakage, personal injuries, as well as traffic and other summons offences; and guiding law students to apply textbook knowledge with professional skills to address practical concerns of real clients.
