PROFILE

Kano was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2025. Kano joined Chambers in 2025 after completing her pupillage with Mr. Selwyn Yu SC, Mr. Valentine Yim, Mr. Vincent Chen, Mr. Eric Leung and Mr. Franco Kuan. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong, where she obtained her LLB in 2023 and PCLL in 2024.

Kano is developing a broad civil and criminal practice, with a primary focus on land-related disputes, criminal matters, matrimonial matters, probate and trust matters and general civil disputes.

On the criminal side, Kano has assisted in matters across all court levels, including commercial crime, serious traffic and driving offenses, drug offenses, and sexual offenses.

On the civil side, Kano has worked on adverse possession claims (for both registered owners and squatters), negligence claims, breach of deed of mutual covenant disputes, contractual disputes, and matrimonial matters.

Kano has acted as sole advocate in criminal cases and general commercial disputes, and prepares clear, practical written advice across a wide range of issues.

Kano is proficient in preparing written submissions in both English and Chinese, and in conducting hearings in either language.

With Japanese and Cantonese parentage, Kano speaks Japanese at a native level. Kano can take instructions and confer directly with Japanese clients and witnesses and prepare for hearings without the need for interpreters.
