Duncan has a broad criminal and civil practice and has appeared in different levels of court both in his own right and as a led junior.
In his criminal practice, he is regularly instructed to prosecute on fiat and to appear on behalf of defendants in a wide variety of cases, including fraud, false instruments, theft, assaults, sexual offences, immigration offences and traffic offences.
In his civil practice, he is experienced in handling disputes involving land, contract, tort, trust, probate and administration, construction, intellectual property, employment, discrimination, personal injuries, landlord and tenant, building management and matrimonial matters in litigation and arbitration.
Duncan is also a part-time lecturer of the PCLL programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In addition, he regularly delivers lectures to various government departments, professional bodies and private companies on different areas of law.
As an accredited general mediator, Duncan has mediated in numerous cases involving different types of disputes.
Prior to joining the Bar, Duncan had worked as a paralegal in international law firms, a manager in a semiconductor trading company and a graduate civil engineer in one of the largest structural engineering consulting firms.
